Farewell Party for Dave and Dorie Ranaghan,

Dear Friends of Dave and Dorie Ranaghan,

As you are probably aware by now, Dave and Dorie Ranagan of the Laurel Ultreya are moving to Berlin, Maryland, on the Eastern Shore. I can only imagine that after seeing Runaway Bride they wanted to move to one of the most picturesque towns in the US.

Plans are underway for a farewell party to be held at the parish hall at St. Nicholas Church, 8603 Contee Road, Laurel, MD 20708 on Saturday, April 2 immediately following the 5 PM Mass (about 6:00 PM). The party will be a potluck and sing-a-long with lots of reminiscing.

Those planning to attend are asked to bring a dish and/or beverage to share. It is requested that the shared dish is in the form of finger food in order to simplify set-up, serving, and clean up. 

In order to provide flexibility, but at the same time ensure we do not have too much of one type of food and not enough of others, we are asking those who are planning to attend to please respond to Terry Iannaconi at [email protected] to let her know the category of food you intend to bring, noting the categories below. 

If based on responses we need to “rebalance”, Terry will contact you and negotiate any requests for changes. (If you have already contacted Terry to let her know what you plan to bring, it is not necessary to contact her again.)

Categories of food suggestions are as follows:

·         Sandwiches, pigs in a blanket, pizza bites, or similar hand-held items

·         Meatballs or anything that is served on toothpicks 

·         Vegetables

·         Fruit 

·         Cheese and crackers or other cheese bites

·         Cookies

·         Cupcakes

·         Anything else that can be served and eaten as “finger food”
